His academic development has focused on economic policy in Latin America, international trade, research and funding sources, workshops and research seminars. It is in research where he has concentrated his production most, standing out for the field work to generate his academic products and keep the link of the University with society, having as a bridge the work with the government at its different levels. He is also a speaker and participant in national and international congresses, in which he guarantees the presence of students who carry out research on real problems from the economy.
